6. Rhein-Main Multiversum 2018

Last week I received the invitation by the Martin from Tabletop Club Rhein-Main to join their Rhein-Main Multiversum in Nidderau, Hessia. So I jumped in my car and drove across the Taunus towards the Wetterau, amazing weather with blue sky and bright sun to enjoy in the meantime.

The Rhein-Main Multiversum is held in the Willi-Salzmann hall and the TC Rhein Main offered two tournaments and a couple of participation rounds, with the support of neighbour wargaming clubs, among others Ad Arma and the Asgard Aschaffenburg.

There were a couple of familiar faces, among them Denis from Heer46 and Thomas from Stoessi's Heroes.

Asgard Aschaffenburg brought a participation game of Daisho, Skirmish Wargaming in Mystical Japan by the Ministery of Gentlemanly Warfare, along with the Kung-Fu Panda.

The second table they hosted was for Star Wars Legion, with some amazing buildings and tuned up characters. LED powered light sabres!

Games Workshop's Shadespire was hosted as well, and I almost missed this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed skaven warband.

One of the tournaments at the Multiversum was the Bembelcup Battlefleet Gothic. It was played based upon the 2010 FAQ.

The Aggro 70´s Football Skirmish, was hosted by TC Rhein-Main as well, and could be seen at the Ad Arma convention last year. It is a game about the hooligan skirmish in the 70s in the UK. The players take over the role of rivaling gangs and the law trying to get the situation under control.

I enjoyed my stay at the show and had some great talks with other wargamers. The hall is a fitting location for a convention like this and the offered participation rounds covered a lot of variety and well done scenery and miniatures.

The show doesn't have an entry fee, but offers the hessian hospitality with drinks, beers, sandwiches and sausage rolls. Right next to Frankfurt the location is quite central in the republic, so why not drop by the next time and see for yourself?

Thanks again to Martin for inviting me, hope to see you guys soon at another wargaming event.
