Sedition Wars Terrain Set

I was part of the original sedition wars kickstarter, but couldn't be motivated to invest additional 30 USD on top of my 100 USD biohazard pledge. A few weeks ago i stumbled on the kit by chance on a wargaming board. The kit has a rrp of 40 USD.

So what is in the box? You get 2 trays with 70 (!) pieces of terrain. It is not the regular hard plastic, but some other injection mold plastic, similar to restic. It is a bit greasy and slippery, so washing it before further handling might be a good idea.

On the back of the box, you see a detailled arrangement of the content. You get  among others terminals, doors and even some by the strain corrupted terrain. A solid box so far, i paid 20 bucks for an unopened box second hand, which seems more reasonable than the 40 USD that is officially charged.

The scale is 28mm, as Sedition Wars itself is 28mm heroic scale itself. And the parts mix well with other sci-fi terrain by brands like Micro Art Studio or Spartan Games, and could be usefull for Infinity, Necromunda or other games.

A short comparison with an Infinity miniature on the left, and with Warzone, Games Workshop and Hasslefree in the second. The walls could be a bit higher to provide proper cover.

The doors are nice, and could be used on board games like they are intended or to beef up some mdf terrain kits or combined with the Deadzone terrain range by mantic games.

Conclusion
The terrain set is a nice gadget for the board game, and a useful supplement for other sci-fi games. The price is something to argue about. 40 USD is still to steep, but if you can manage to claim one for yourself for 30 or less, i can recommend it.

If you compare the price to resin sets by others, of course you get more content than for example the Micro Art blisters for Infinity, but on eye level with the Spartan Games Scenic sets. And we have to keep in mind, those are hand casted resin sets and not tooled cast in numbers.
