Adeptus Titanicus – Legio Astraman Ad Arma Pt. XIV
The base building continues, and I pick up where I left off last time with Part XIII, but added to further bases to cover the base design for the two Warhound Scout Titans.
I started with the base for the Warmaster, where I used the Falchion wreck as a primary piece for the base design. I cut down the tracks, to lower the height of the tank's silhouette.
Cutting down printed resin is much more hassle than casted resin, so next time I'll digitally cut down the file and only print what I need. As the overall tank should look like a wreck, I removed the pins from the side turrets and twin linked Volcano Cannon. Along with angling the later one, to make the tank look even more out of action. In addition, I filed the top of the tank, to lower the surface for the titan's foot to stand upon even further.
This is how the titan stands upon the base currently. It is less angled compared to the mock up, but by raising the area beneath the left leg, the slope will be further levelled out. Will use cork and filler, and continue with the regular base decoration for these using the texture paste as with the other titans.
The oval base was initially meant for a Reaver, so I had to modify the foot print to fit the Warbringer and added a lower ruined wall section. In addition, I prepared two bases for the Warhounds. A ruined house corner with a pavement and a tank wreck with destroyed turret.
This would leave me with six prepared bases for another batch of titans and name plates, that I'll order again with Versatile Terrain;
Nemesis Warbringer
- Caminus Irae
Warhounds
- Viridis Furrure
- Saevis Chelae
Dire Wolves
- Gratia Martis
- Luminaria Dolorem
Warmaster
- Stella Matutina
