Warhammer Age of Sigmar – Warcry Warband card decks

As I have two warbands with the Warcry starter set, the Untamed Beasts and the Iron Golems, it is time to see how we can get Daniel / Dino involved into this.

The Warcry product range covers card packs for multiple factions from Age of Sigmar, among them currently a total of three for the greenskins. And as Dino has his Hotpawz and Redfists, so we are going to take a closer look into the card pack for the Bonesplitters and Ironjawz.

The card packs are 6,50 EUR each, and cover a set of three different card decks. These packs are multi-language, so the abilities cards are included a total of 8 times - but each in a different language. So the abilities are covered in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian. The fighter card are generic and "only" cover icons and numbers, so are to be used with every language, the same goes for the two overview cards.

The Ironjawz can choose between two different Brute Bosses, three different Brutes, three 'Ardboyz and a 'Ardboy Boss. That said, a boxed set of Orruk Brutes and a set of Orruk 'Ardboys will give you more than enough miniatures to build a Warcry warband. The 'Ardboys are the former Black Orcs and were double packed (the old box contained 10 ork elite warriors). So for the 'Ardboys, a more reasonable approach might be the Underworlds Warband of Ironjaw's Boyz, in case you only want to field a Warcry warband and not start an Age of Sigmar army project.

This means that fielding Ironjawz will cost you at least 46,50 EUR (one of the boxes + cards).

The other orruk warband are the Bonesplitters, the have the same multi-language ability cards and overview card, but different fighter cards. For the Savage Orruks you can choose from Morboy Boss, Morboy, Savage Boss, Savage Orruk Arrowboys and regular Savage Orruks. Starting Bonesplitters is quite easy, as you can just get yourself a box of the Orruk Morboys and build all the units you need from that kit. 40 EUR will give you 20 Savage Orruks, that's enough to build two Warcry warbands easily. So here we are at a similar price range of 46,50 EUR for starting a Warcry warband.

Very close to the price of the "regular" range warbands. The card pack of the Glomespitz Gitz along with a box of Zarbag's Gitz will get you somewhere too, quite easily and on a tight budget.

Beside the Orruks and Gitz, there are card packs available for Stormcast Eternals, Nighthaunt, Idoneth Deepkin, Flesh-Eater Courts, Legion of Nagash and the Daughter of Khaine. In some cases, the warbands maybe a bit more price, as the leaders are not available as part of a regular kit (like with the Flesh-Eater Court).

That's it, a brief overview on the content of these kits and I am looking forward, what Dino paints next for the Lords of Warcry.
