Salute 2016 – Part II
After the introduction on Salute, welcome back on Part Two on Tuesday.
As Salute is an international event, there are companies from all over the world and of course from Germany as well. The well known Pirates from Freebooter Miniatures participated once again at the Salute. And of course, no show without some nifty releases - bringing small ships and boats to Freebooters Fate, individually and as a special bundle offer.
Salute 2016 – Part I
Saturday, April 16th, a very early morning, i grabbed my flight to London, got on the plane, jumped into the rental after landing and headed for ExCeL London.
At 08:30 in the morning, a solid 1,5 hours prior to opening, there was already a solid queue and quickly, just after 09:00 the queue doubled.
Historisches Museum Aurich
During vacation at the german north sea, i was in Aurich. Lovely city and they even have a small historic museum that i visited. It's in the shopping mile within the cities core and only 3,50 Euro entry fee.
Salute Teaser & Preview
Just booked my flights for Salute. April 16th it is, at ExCel exhibition hall in London. So pack your bags, grab your pounds and get ready to spend some of that quids on plastic, resin and lead.
I will bring my dslr and cover the show for you, but beforehand a few teasers and previews on what we can expect and what i am already excited about.
BitBox Aftermath & vacation
The sunday before easter, the 9th Bitbox was held in Mülheim an der Ruhr. I got my own table to sell off parts of my collection and it was quite busy, as you can see, so i hadn't had the chance to take that many pictures.
Around noon it was really really crowded, and miniatures and money were exchanged - often and happily. And you could still feel the "afterwaves" of the big notice wave last year at Games Workshop Germany. Still lots of promotional stuff, employee exclusives and even official gear on sale. And the hosts, Freebooter Miniatures, was offering their range as well.
Bitbox Teaser & Preview
Next sunday, on march 20th, it is once again time for Bitbox! The tabletop flea market in the Ruhr-area.
I am already sorting out miniatures and kits, that i want to part from, and to give you a small teaser and what i am going to sell, take a look at these.
Upcoming Dates for 2016
Everybody is in christmas mood, so let's not forget that New Years Eve and as such 2016 is coming. So what can we expect event wise next year and what should be on everybodies agenda.
Flashback Friday!
It is Flashback Friday! Wargaming catched me more than 20 years ago and since then, i had the chance to see a lot of different games, places and events. Some of the conventions and events are already covered on Chaosbunker, but others will follow.
Currently the "oldest" coverage is from my third trip to Warhammer World in 2004, so sit back, relax and see how it looked like 11 years ago.
Crisis 2015 – Part III
And let's get ready for the final part about the Crisis in Antwerp. Stronghold Terrain was there as well, and showed their lovely, detailled terrain pieces and miniatures, for Saga, for world war II and even the dark future.
Crisis 2015 – Part II
Let's continue with some traders and producers of fine miniatures. Freebooters Miniatures is a familiar and regular guest at the Show. In case you missed the novelties at Spiel, you had the chance to see and get them at Crisis.
