gamescom 2015 – Part II
And of course, part II of the gamescom visit. So what does a wargamer do on a video game show? He takes a look at wargames and wargame-themed games.
Neocore Games, a small independend studio from hungary, had Inquisitor Martyr with them, and even some death cult assassins to guard their booth. The game is still in an early pre-alpha status, but you could give it a try. It's a sci-fi hack & slay, where you control an Inquisitor against the foul heretics with already some nice graphics and grim dark feel. Some of the details are missing, but it is a pre-alpha so i am pretty sure, we will see more of it.
Heidelberger Burgevent Stahleck 2015
Every year the Heidelberger Spieleverlag invites their friends, colleagues and supporters to the Castle Stahleck in Bacharach. The castle is open for visitors and covers a youth hostel and some nice "knightly" rooms, so it is a great place to welcome the guests and enjoy an amazing day along the Rhine, with good weather and lots of sunshine.
2. Dices & Bayonets Con
Last weekend, on the 6th and 7th of June 2015, was the 2nd Dices & Bayonets Con in Speyer. Hosted by the same named Club and managed by a dear friend of mine, Noel Martin.
Several different scales and settings hosted by the local Clubs from Speyer, Worms and the surrounding area. There were even a few traders and a Bring & Buy, on which i found a little gem - a Necromunda Ratskin gang for just twenty euros.
But now i will just leave you with the pictures from Saturday.
BitBox #7
Two times per year the BitBox opens its doors in Mülheim an der Ruhr. So for the 7th time in total and the first time this year, it was time for the biggest tabletop flea market in Germany.
There are quite a lot parking lots around, so no fear about that. Though the doors would open at regular 11 am, the hall was already crowded.
HdR Szenario 2015
Hackenheim welcomed wargamers from friday to sunday for the Lord of the Rings Scenario 2015.
The whole weekend, that covered among others a tournament for X-Wing and Warmachine, you had the chance to try out several wargames from the fictional and historic genres.
Crisis 2014 – Part 1
On November 1st, the big wargaming event Crisis was held in Antwerp, and the hosts were as usual the Tinsoldiers of Antwerp.
Crisis 2014 – Part 2
A lot to see at Crisis, so i have to split the coverage into several parts, here goes part II. Among others, there is Pro Gloria, with their Crowdfunding project with Landsknechts. Beside the 3-Ups there were some stretch goals to see.
Crisis 2014 – Part 3
The third and last part of the coverage shows a few of the smaller booths and general impressions.
Agema Miniatures brought their romans with them. Karwansaray Publishers had beside the Ancient and Medieval warfare the the Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy to offer. And it was great to see, that Gerard Boom, master of styrodur, was there as well.
The Worlds 2014 – Day 3
The final day of The Worlds, Sunday. A new trophy was seen next to the others, a nice little Diorama.
The Worlds 2014 – Day 2
Saturday, the second day of the Worlds, the action was fully loaded. The last participants arrived and all of the traders had their booth build up. On this day the Warhammer Ancient Battles Tournament started and that's where we want to pick up the coverage.
