Age of Sigmar – Realmscape Guardian Idol
The Realmscape Guardian Idol is part of the Realmscape terrain range and was included twice in the Stormbringer series by Hachette (issues 65 and 74).
The Guardian Idol was included in the Realmscape Expansion Set and the Age of Sigmar Extremis Starter Set alongside other terrain pieces such as the Realmscape Ruins and the Nexus Syphon.
Warhammer – The Big Summer Preview Show 2025 Part 2
Due to the size of the The Big Summer Preview Show we split our coverage into two parts, part 1 covered all the Sci-Fi topics on the Warhammer 40k and Horus Heresy, and in this one we're going to cover the Old World until the Age of Sigmar.
Just like in part 1, we're going to go through the announcements not in chronological order, but by gaming system.
Age of Sigmar Stormbringer Magazine 68 to 73
The penultimate delivery for Stormbringer arrived last week! Including the premium bonus content. Amazing as this subscription started last year in January and it was surely a long run.
In todays unboxing we're covering the issues 68 to 73, with miniatures, terrain and some paints, but more on that further below.
The overview on the issues so far can be found over here, along with the detailed unboxings of older shipments as well:

Age of Sigmar – Kruleboyz Swampcalla Shaman with Pot-grot
In issue 09 of the Stormbringer subscription, we get one of the first characters for the Kruleboyz, a Swampcalla Shaman with Pot-grot.
This miniature was initially released as part of the Age of Sigmar Dominion boxed set (the 3rd edition starter set from 2021), just like the Lord Imperarant, and now is available through the Stormbringer magazine for 10,99 EUR or from Games Workshop directly for 32,50 EUR.
Both miniatures fit inside a single sprue, and are currently the only regular sculpts for this unit on foot (the other one being the named character Gobsprakk on Killabeak, and Mugruk da Watcha, which was a 2022 event exclusive).
Age of Sigmar – Stormcast Eternals Gardus Steel Soul
We're doing smaller unboxings and reviews along the line of the Stormbringer subscription. Back in the shipment with issue 14 to 19, we got the 2021 Stormcast Eternal Character of Gardus Steel Soul.
The miniature as part of the magazine series is a proper steal, as the regular price is 34 EUR and it is currently more or less Mail-Order exclusive, so not much you can do about a discount. But at 10,99 EUR it is very solid.
Gardus Steel Soul is a Lord-Celestant of the Hallowed Knights Stormhost, and their silver and blue armours provide a bit of variation to the poster boys of the Hammers of Sigmar. The artwork you can see on the cover of the magazine comes from the Black Library novel Hallowed Knights: Black Pyramid.

Age of Sigmar – Realmscape Terrain
Part of the terrain items from the Stormbringer subscription (issue 55 to be exact) was a sprue of the Realmscape terrain from Age of Sigmar, in this case half of the Domicile Shell. This is meant to be part of the settlements, that the forces of order are building on new realms or reclaimed areas.
The sprues and other complementing pieces were used in various starter sets and expansions. This particular sprue came often with a variant B that would create a medium sized building in progress, along with two statues. We will see the statues in the Stormbringer subscription as well (in issue 65 and 74), but from my understand not the second wall sprue but another copy of this one in issue #69.
With this massive sprue, we can build an L or rather U-shaped ruin. It comes with quite some additional pieces to enhance the amount of detail and not just making it a flat ruin, but provide some depth. Casting is good, reasonable amount of detail and a lot of parts you can easily dry brush. The mould lines are present, but that is usually the case with the terrain due to the thickness of the parts.
Age of Sigmar Stormbringer Magazine 56 to 61
Last week the 11th shipment arrived and we only have three more until we've reached the end of the German Stormbringer Magazine by Hachette subscription. A bit weird, as it felt so far ahead and yet now so close. Anyhow, I am excited to take a deep dive into the content of the issues 56 to 61.
As usual, you can find an overview on the issues so far over here, along with the detailed unboxings of older shipments as well:
Age of Sigmar – Kruleboyz Da Kunnin Krew
Another former Underworlds warband released as part of the Stormbringer subscription is Da Kunnin Krew in issue 18. Over the entire run, we will see a total of 7 former Underworlds sets being re-released - all without the cards.
The Kruleboyz warband was initially part of the 2021 season Harrowdeep and a year later re-released in Rivals of Harrowdeep with Nethermaze, against Xandire's Truthseekers.
Age of Sigmar – Stormcast Eternals Xandire’s Truthseekers
It has been a while since we covered an Underworlds warband here. We did a review on the 2023 generic starter set and the last time we covered one of the seasons, was with Beastgrave in 2020. Within the Stormbringer subscription, we already had a couple of warbands, just without the cards, like Mollog's Mob, Zarbag's Gitz and others that yet have to be released like Thundriks Profiteers or Ironskull's Boyz.
With Xandire's Truthseekers we see another warband re-released within Stormbringer, it was part of German issue 10 in March 2024, but initially part of the 2021 season Harrowdeep and a year later re-released in Rivals of Harrowdeep aling with Nethermaze, against Da Kunning Krew. In case of the Stormbringer release, the warband is released without the cards.
