Adeptus Titanicus – New Warlord Titans and Reaver Titan

The Legions Imperialis range was among the systems covered in the Big Summer Preview 2026. As the model range is largely complete, the excitement was there, as it could be something completely new added to the range, for example Custodes, finally Primarchs or something similar spectacular.

But it was none of that, yet still something titanic. "New" weapons for your titan legions, and I put that new in quotation marks for a reason. We were shown two new variants of the Warlord Titan and one new variant of the Reaver Titan.

The core kits have been available since 2018, and weapon options were partially released in plastic and partially available in resin by Forge World. These new additions to the range are mostly options moved from Forge World resin into plastic sprues. These options will be available as complete boxes of their own, as well as individual sprues like other variants are currently available.

Warlord Titans

As for the new Warlord Titan variants, Warlord Titan with Quake Cannon and Conversion Beam Extirpator and Warlord Titan with Volkite Destructor and Macro-gatling Blaster, these are the 4th and 5th options for the Warlord Titan, after the Warlord Titan With Volcano Cannons and Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Warlord Titan With Power Claw and Plasma Annihilator and the Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan.

How does this work? Well the Warlord Titan is built from three different sprues, the two main sprues cover the core body and armour plates, with the third one including the weapon options for the arm and carapace slots as well as head variant(s). As shown below. In case of the Warlord-Sinister Psi Titan you get the Power Claw sprue and additional resin parts for the head and Sinistramanus Tenebrae arm weapon.

Weapon sprue with Power Claw, Plasma Annihilator and Turbo-Laser

This means the two new variants cover (most likely) a sprue each, replacing existing resin weapon upgrade with plastic and at least one additional head design each, and will be tightly packed, as we get four weapon options instead of the three as before.

  • Warlord Titan Weapons 1: Quake Cannon (former resin), Conversion Beam Extirpator (former resin), Paired Gatling Blasters (former resin), and Paired Turbo-Laser Destructors (former resin)

Replacing these former Forge World options:

This sprue will also cover the Lucius Pattern Head design!

  • Warlord Titan Weapons 2: Volkite Destructor (former resin), Macro-Gatling Blaster (former resin), Graviton Ruinator (former resin), and Vulcan Mega-Bolter Array (former resin)

Replacing these former Forge World Options

For orientation, the full kits of a Warlord Titan cost 95 EUR / 74 GBP as of now and 42 EUR / 32,50 GBP for the weapon upgrades. The forge world upgrades were 19 EUR for a single arm option and 25 EUR for the paired carapace upgrades, making the move to plastic a bargain and in some cases a quality upgrade (the bar below the quake cannon used to sag and warped barrels of the gatling blaster were annoying to assemble).

Reaver Titan

As for the Reaver Titan, this new Reaver Titan with Graviton Obliterator and Volkite Annihilator, is the third boxed variant of a Reaver titan after the Reaver Titan with Gatling Blaster, Laser Blaster, Power Fist and Carapace Apocalypse Missile Launcher and the Reaver Titan with Melta Cannon, Chainfist and Carapace Turbolaser Destructor.

Similar to the Warlord Titan, we have two sprues for the core body. More compact frames, as the model itself is smaller, and a third one covering the weapon options as well as more heads or face plates.

The new weapon options for the Reaver Titan do not all replace the Forge World resin options (which were in case of the Reaver only carapace upgrades), but move some weapon slots from carapace to arms, thus giving us entirely new options in this sprue.

  • Reaver Titan Weapons: Graviton Obliterator (former resin, only carapace before), Volkite Annihilator (former resin, only carapace before), Vulcan Mega-Bolter (carapace, former resin), and Conversion Beam Dissolutor  (carapace, former resin)

And as additional information, full kits of a Reaver Titan cost currently 51,50 EUR / 40 GBP and their weapon upgrades are 23 EUR / 18,50 GBP per sprue. I don't have the prices for the forge world upgrades in my head, but I believe they were around the 15 EUR mark for carapace upgrades, making the move to plastic once again not a bad deal.

Note that the Adeptus Titanicus range is one of the most well-thought-out ranges Games Workshop has ever produced. Not only is the amount of detail captured amazing and you will read about that in my reviews multiple times, but the aspect that the kits are magnet-ready right from the box, is a huge feature, making it easy to swap between weapon options.

What does this mean for the range? The Warlord is now fully available in plastic, while the Reaver still has a resin warp missile launcher, and the two carapace weapons that moved to the arms also remain resin. For the Warbringer, the Belicosa is still a resin upgrade. I would have preferred genuinely new content, and if Titanicus is going to stay in focus within the Legions Imperialis range, I would have loved possessed Titan upgrades or something like Lucius-pattern armour plates. Still, this is a positive sign: GW would not bother moving these options to plastic if the game were not still important to them.

If you want an overview of what changed from Adeptus Titanicus to Legions Imperialis, you can see an overview here. The main change is the move to flatter bases.
