The latest plastic vehicle kit for Bolt Action is the Matilda II, shown here as the tank troop with 3 tanks. The Matilda II kit available either as a single vehicle boxed as A12 Matilda or as a three tank troop.

Of the Matilda Mk I only 140 units were build and the successor Mark II saw action in early in the war in France, but became more famous in the Desert Campaign against Italian tanks. The A12 / Mark II was produced between 1939 and August 1943, with a production run of around 3,000 units. Roughly a third of these were delivered to the Soviet Union under the Lend & Lease agreement. Captured Matilda II were used by the Germans under the nomination Infanterie Panzerkampfwagen Mk II 748 (e) or Pz.Kpfw. Mk II 748 (e). While the British replaced the "Queen of the Desert" beginning 1941 with Valentine tanks, the Australian army used their Matildas until the end of the war.

Dreadball Part 3: Dreadball Kick Off Review

In early 2013, Mantic Games launched a futuristic sports game that has grown steadily since. So why are we taking a look at the very first version of the game today? Well, for one the basic game is still available online, and for another it's still a well rounded product as a game in my opinion. For people who haven't had anything to do with Dreadball yet, the game designed by Jake Thornton is also a great introduction to the science fiction setting Warpath by Mantic.

Chaos Space Marines Noctilith Crown

Along with the multiple releases for the updated Chaos Space Marine range, we see a new terrain piece as well - the Noctilith Crown.

Warhammer 40,000 - Chaos Space Marines Noctilith Crown Warhammer 40,000 - Chaos Space Marines Noctilith Crown

"Race" specific terrain items are somewhat rare with 40k and more of a Age of Sigmar thing. Usually you fight over the ruins of Imperial cities, with the rare exceptions of the Tau Tidewall, the Aeldari Webway/Ruins and the Mekboy workshop. The Nocilith Crown looks like a gate or portal, but isn't one. This is more like a monolith of dark power, supporting the kin of the dark gods. But now we still have something like a Chaos Stargate, but as I am not sure about the copyright situation here, let's call it Chaos Gate. Does that ring a bell? Well, not without a reason.

Abaddon the Despoiler 2019

Ezekyle Abaddon has many names. He is known as the Despoiler, Warmaster of Chaos, greatest Champion of the Undivided Chaos, and Lord of the Black Legion. As such he has led multiple Black Crusades onto the Imperium and the latest attack on Vigilus. This new campaign supplement for Warhammer 40,000 is one of the reasons, why Abaddon the Despoiler received a new model in 2019, more than 20 years after the first Abaddon miniature.

Konflikt 47 Defiance Preview Pack

Although I always liked the models of the Bolt Action series and the system, I could not really get attached to the game for a while, due to it’s real historical background. However, when the Bersaglieri for Konflikt 47 appeared in June 2018, my interest was aroused. Konflikt 47 offers enough fiction to successfully bring Bolt Action into a Pulp setting without sacrificing the existing range of models. Since painted minis are an important atmosphere driver for me, I was of course interested in the quality of the models and the Defiance Preview Pack was for 7.5£ a good way to take a better look at the K47 Italians.

Konflikt 47 Allied Coyote/Guardian Light Walker

At the end of August, I've held a Konflikt 47 walker in my hands for the first time and was thus able to gain my first experiences with the Coyote kit. The walker is delivered in a box, but is effectively housed in a classic clampack.

After I freed the Mech from his package, the following picture of contents could be seen: lamps, flamethrower and heavy machine gun were included twice, a regular one once. The flamethrowers and the light machine gun are mounted on the arms. If you choose only to use the flamethrowers, the british Guardian variant of the Coyote is built.

Konflikt 47 Locust Medium Panzermech

Picking up the theme of Konflikt 47 once again. We cover today an interesting counter-part to the jump walkers of the Allied Forces, like the M2 Mudskipper, the Locust Panzermech by the Axis.

Konflikt '47 is a joint project by Warlord Games and Clockwork Goblin and is set upon an updated Bolt Action's First Edition ruleset. Some of the kits make use of the existing range of Bolt Action, add additional parts to them (like the tanks) or are complete newly designed kits, like these walkers.

Necromunda Luther Pattern Excavation Automata Ambot

Another reincarnation of the Ambull is going to be released today, after the Dread Ambull, the Necromunda gang leaders can bulk up with some big buys, the Luther Pattern Ambots.

Back in April 2018, so almost a year ago, we saw the first artwork in a teaser by Forge World. So when the miniature(s) were introduced this January on the New Year's Open Day, it was a bit of a surprise, that the Ambot would be released as a plastic kit, available at Games Workshops and independent retailers, not as a resin kit (like the bounty hunters and such) exclusive through Forge World.

The Ambot is a mechanical recreation of the Ambull, using its instincts to claw and dig through soil, as a mining robot, or in high-gothic the Luther Pattern Excavation Automata "Ambot".

Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team Starn’s Disciples

Kill Team is an incredibly successful brand for Games Workshop and the supplements keep coming. So it is time to not just look at the very interesting Kill Zones, like Sector Fronteris or Sector Mechanicus, but one of the actual Kill Teams.

With the re-release of the Genestealer Cult back in 2016, the new Kill Team Starn's Disciples is one of the boxes that really caught my eye. The Kill Teams go hand in hand with a combatant, in this case the Mechanicus warband of Theta 7 Aquisitus and the matching Kill Zone, the mentioned above Sector Fronteris using the Ryza Pattern ruins.

Warhammer 40,000 Monopoly

With the Games Workshop licensing expanding, the brand of Warhammer comes to new products and merchandise. There is clothing, video games and even funko pops, and of course some classics like board games. But when you're thinking about Warhammer and board games, you're probably thinking of Heroquest or maybe one of the newer incarnations like Warhammer Quest. So Monopoly comes as a bit of a surprise. But here it is - Monopoly Warhammer 40,000.

Winning Moves - Warhammer 40,000 Monopoly Winning Moves - Warhammer 40,000 Monopoly

Monopoly comes as a white label product for quite some time now. There are multiple localized variants of Monopoly, branding it with cities and replacing the well-known streets of Monopoly with those of the branded city. But the customizing doesn't stop there, so we now have Monopoly Game of Thrones, Walking Dead or Lord of the Rings, replacing the streets with matching places and the player figures with icons from the setting.
