Next up, another regular at many shows, is the Fantasy Warehouse from Iserlohn.
Spiel 2015 Preview
On thursday, october 8th, the Internationale Spieltage or short Spiel in Essen start again. The largest show for boardgames goes on for 4 days and there is going to be a lot to see.
Of running in shadows and frosty graves
Frostgrave was recently released by Osprey and North Star Miniatures and the Nickstarter for the expansion, Thaw of the Lich Lord, is online and already through the first stretch goals. As i am still struggling, if i can resist to pledge for the expansion before i even started building the basic rules and two warbands ... it's a a hard decision 😀
Star Wars, Bolt Action and Hordes
Warlord Games released a couple of nifty things earlier, among them the Polish Black Brigade and CFC Lee.
Spanish Souvenirs
My parents were visiting "the Motherland" (in my case Spain - not to be mixed up with "the Fatherland", Germany) 😀 and as the great parents they are (the supported the beginnings of my now 20 years of wargaming madness), they brought along some items i asked for - and some i didn't even thought about asking for.
So beside some delicious sweets and candies (i have a soft spot for oreos), i got a estela de barros / stela that i wanted for the living room, along with a book about the secrets of Cantabria. My father even got me a spanish wargaming magazine (you just know me to well :D). The magazine is called Desperta Ferro! (Awake Iron), which is an medieval catalan battle cry used by the Almogavars.
Pegasus Spiele Pressetag 2015
Last Saturday, on september 12th 2015, Pegasus Spiele hosted their first open day for the press and store owners.
Spanish Crusaders
I introduced the spanish Crusaders a while ago. And i want to share the current status with you. The bases were prepared with spackle, pva and sand.
Dark Age Terrain
Inspired by Sigur (from Battle Brush Studio), i got in touch with one the local laser cutting companies and got myself the basics structures for some dark age terrain. I added a few stir sticks for coffee to give it a bit more depth. Quite a funny job and it worked out nicely.
Frostgrave & Battlefields in Miniature
North Star teamed up with Osprey and introduced Frostgrave. A Fantasy Skirmish, with Warbands gathered around Wizards and Mages of different schools, that explore the frozen City for treasures and artefacts.
