Let's start December right with a proper tank review. For this one, I unbox and build the M10 / M36 Tank Destroyer kit by Rubicon Models. It was released as part of the Q1/2016 novelties.

Evaluating SAGA

Crusader Carts
Inspired by the SAGA Scenario "The Escort", i'm looking for something that would make a good baggage train for my spanish Crusaders. As I already used miniatures from the Perry Crusader range, I thought it made sense to look at their range again for the additional baggage train / wagons.
Unfortunately, they don't have specific ones for the crusades, but others from the War of the Roses range. I'm not a specialist on these, so which would fit an early middle ages, around 1.000 - 1.200 A.D.? They have a few, between 11 and 21 pound to offer.

Inspiration from northern Spain
I'm just back from my vacation in northern Spain. I visited Cantabria, Asturias and the Basque Country. Usually the trips to Spain are family related and for recovery, but this time I added a bit of cultural sight seeing.

Spectre Miniatures is a british manufacturer, that covers modern combat miniatures in 28mm scale. Had them on my radar for quite some time and used the chance at Salute 2016 to get myself the Tier 1 set along with some show offers.
Starting a Genestealer Cult
I'm quite amazed by the recent release of the Genestealer Cult. Games Workshop seems to do a lot of interesting and well meant things currently. Horus Heresy in plastic, first look at Adeptus Custodes in plastic as well, and then these Rogue Trader flashback in form of the genestealer cult.
I was already hooked when they released Deathwatch Overkill, and I managed to acquire the part of the genestealer cult for a small dime.
Rubicon Models M8 / M20 Scout Car
After the recent review of Warlord's M8 / M20, let us take a look on Rubicon Models take on the scout car.
Rubicon put both variants in a single kit as well, but that is nothing new from them, as most of their kits offer several variants and options to begin with.
Dead of Winter
I'll take a look at Dead of Winter by Plaid Hat, in this review the german translation by Heidelberger Spieleverlag is used.
It is a cooperative survival boardgame in a colony, in the icy grip of winter. So you have to fight dropping moral, food scarcity and threats from the outside. And that is hadled by 2-5 players for the group and themselves.
