8th Rhein Main Multiversum 2022
Nidderau is back on the schedule! This weekend (we've been there yesterday) the Tabletop Club Rhein-Main hosted once again after a break the 8th Rhein Main Multiversum.
This time, due to the circumstances, the Rhein Main Multiversum was not as a convention but as an open gaming weekend (so without traders) to accomodate any (possible) restrictions and so on.I was invited by Martin / ZigorR and he covered his well-known Frankfurt Beer Riot table along with a Lion Rampant scenario covering another local, hessian disput, he showed for the first time in 2019 - the Kronberger Feud, with the Liberation of the Frankfurt bakers from Windecken.
And as Lion Rampant book recipients show their books, so did we, Martin and I taking proper wargamer pictures with out most recent rule sets.
Axel was hosting a Shootout in Dingstown table. Dino and I played a match at the 2019th installment of the Multiversum, and I used the chance to grab the core rulebook along with the solo-play supplement (and Zombie rules) for my upcoming Wild West excursion.
And Dino had the chance to play his freshly painted Mortal Gods collection, along with a teaser on the Promachos, who will be covered in an article later this week. Lovely setup and use of the vineyard.
There was a broad assortment of demo tables, from steampunk, over Star Wars Legion and Horus Heresy to Bolt Action. Even a small bring & buy, with some middlehammer goodies at reasonable prices.
Noel hosted a swamp table with his gaming club Ad Arma. They're hoping to host the next show in May (we've visited the 2017 and 2019 instalments).
Freebooter's Fate was hosted by Asgard (the Aschaffenburg Tabletop Club), who are in the preparations to bring back Tabletopia in 2023.
For the 10 years anniversary of Freebooter, they had an Indiegogo Crowdfunding for their Legends, and now about 10 years later (give or take a bit due to the circumstances), there's another one coming, on Kickstarter this time. At the show some previews were to be seen, covering various characters included in the campaign. If you're interested it is best to follow them on social media.
I had a longer coop game of Spectre Operations, hosted by Torsten from CONflict Rheinland, but that one will receive a battle report on its own in the next days. Funny coincedence, at Torsten's event, I had a game hosted by Martin (Silver Bayonette) and at Martin's show, I enjoyed the game by Torsten.
Once again, thank you, Tabletop Club Rhein-Main, very much for the invitation! It was a blast and we will surely return.
