Blood Bowl – Old World Alliance & Underworld Denizens Pitch

Since a few weeks the Blood Bowl setting has been expanded with a revised Underworld roster and a new Old World Alliance roster. As with almost every team release, special play cards, dice and a pitch come along too. In this review we take a closer look at the latter.

The product costs, depending on the retailer you order it from, about 30,- € and comes in a sturdy packaging. The contents are the typical cardboard for dugouts, the field itself, a foam inlay that prevents the longer dugout from snapping, and the packaging that can be used as a practical slipcase.

Chaosbunker Daddies – Sport is a killer! Block 1

It took me exactly 29 days and therefore I am the slowest of the four Chaosbunker Daddies, but the first block is completed!

Aeronautica Imperialis – Taros Air War

Right along with the Skies of Fire starter box, came Taros Air War, the second campaign supplement for Aeronautica Imperialis.

Aeronautica Imperialis - Taros Air War Aeronautica Imperialis - Taros Air War

The Taros Air War is part of the Taros Campaign, a conflict Forge World covered in one of their Imperial Armour books back in 2004, Imperial Armour Volume Three - The Taros Campaign, to be precise. Taros was mining world, in the Ultima Segmentum, in the service of the Imperium of Man. But the Planetary Governor Aulis, head of the Taros government, developed friendly trading relations with the Tau, and sought to defect to the Tau Empire with the support of much of the planetary population. A treachery the Imperium couldn't let go unpunished, and their response was relentless.

Realm of Chaos – Hooves and Fur Part III

The kick off of the summer project and we got everything we need. A deadline, prepared miniatures, a manageable scope and peer-pressure. This is what we've waited for. This is it boys, this is war! Each month beginning from today, I have to paint six miniatures reach my goal. So I split the models into three groups.

I did the basing and as mentioned in the first article, used different sizes. So far the regular ones went on 25mm round bases, the heroes on 32mm and the minotaur on a 40mm round. After that, I took care of the gaps in the bases with grey stuff from P3 and added some smaller pebbles on the larger bases.

White Dwarf #453 April 2020

While some of you may already the #454 issue, the April issue of White Dwarf arrived here last week. Due to the corona post hick-ups my subscription copy was lost, but the Games Workshop customer service took care of it, and send a replacement on its way.

Therefore we have the regular cover of White Dwarf #453 April 2020 (yet the month stated has to be taken rather loosely, as Grombrindal explains over here).

Realm of Chaos – Hooves and Fur Part II

Having the miniature is the first step, we can put a check on that - Hooves and Fur Part 1! Next on is to go for a paint theme. Usually I'd go on Instagram for that or maybe the according social media groups to look for inspirations, but as we're talking about a retro / oldhammer project, a good ressource are old White Dwarfs or army books.

For that reason I took the army books from multiple editions, 4th Warhammer Armies: Chaos, 5th Realm of Chaos, 6th Beasts of Chaos and 7th Beastmen book out from the archive and went browsing.

The Hobbit – Lake Town Kitbash Part 1

Keith Robertson did a great kit bash of the Lake Town kit, that was shown a few years back on Warhammer Community.

He combined two of the The Hobbit - Lake Town kits and converted them into something, that was heavily inspired by Bard's house. I really like what he has done and would like to recreate it. Unfortunately, the only pictures we have to do so, are these, giving a proper idea but especially the converted parts as the part below the upper walkways and modified wall section is only partly seen. So let us try to reverse engineer this.

Realm of Chaos – Hooves and Fur

For the Realm of Chaos I sorted the miniatures into god-specific warbands. One for each of the four dark gods, covering the chaos champions with the according mark of chaos. But what about the undivided chaos? I thought the Beastmen would be a perfect fit.
