Spartan Scenic Sci-Fi Set

A while ago, actually roughly 2 years ago, i bought over a couple of month the majority of the Spartan Scenic Sci-Fi System boxes. Beginning with the Starter Set in September 2013.

Stompa stompz!

I bought a stompa at the bitbox a year or two ago, and it was a great deal. No, i don't have an ork army, but i thought of this as an impressive piece of terrain. A overhauled / half-build monstrosity, that would make a great objective for a scenario. It could be some kind of mobile mining robot for Necromunda, it could be the stompa it is for Inquisitor 28, and so much more.

Back to the Underhive – Part 2

And again back to the Underhive. First, let me share the collection box of Necromunda, Gorka Morka and other Sidegames from the Warhammer 40.000 Universum. Muties, Diggers, Scavvies and other stuff.

Back to the Underhive – Part 1

While re-arranging the shelfes, i freed up a second one for my Inq28 / Necromunda / Inquimunda Collection. So i decided to proceed doing inventory and basing some of my collection. Therefore i needed to restock on bases.

My Dark Eldar Warband is based on some Voodoo Worx Alien bases, that range was sold to Secret Weapon, so i had to buy them in the states. Fun fact, they arrived at the same time as the Dark Art Bases below, ordered in the UK.

Morrs Garden and Aegis Line

Morrs Garden and some parts of the Aegis Line / Bastions were still in sprues, as i found them.

I like the Morrs Garden kit, as it does not only fit into Warhammer Fantasy, but might be used for any Dark Fantasy or even Pulp settings. Do you remember the scene in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, when you fought Heinrich I at the cemetery? Let's take a look.

Grim Dark Flyers

As mentioned before, i assembled some kits during the cleaning and tidying up. First we have the Space Marine Stormtalon. It is an interesting kit, but the design has some certain flaws. It is supposed to be something nimble, but it is to bulky, so i modified some parts.

January reinforcement

I didn't have the chance, to show you what was new in January in the chaosbunker. At the HdR Szenario, i took the chance and bought some of the Heer46 novelties. Denis offers some special dice from time to time, so i pre-ordered a few Crusader dice and the Gebirgsjäger dice, which due to the impressive stag head will fit nicely in a fantasy setting (lets say Westeros Baratheon). Then he had the first one of a new range of 1:56 / 28mm miniatures for World War 2 and a new 1:100 / 15mm B4 203mm howitzer.

Merry Christmas

Back for a last update before christmas.

I continued on building tanks, after converting the Shermans. So i got my hands on a Panther Ausf. A from Rubicon Models and a SdKfz 234 Puma from Warlord Games. I filled the large turret hole in the chassis with a renedra base and some putty. So what is the final product? It's a Aufklärungspanther, a fictional build that is known among others from World of Tanks. I have to be honest, the Ausf. A wasn't the best base for the conversion, if you want to do it, i'd suggest the Ausf. G.

Yesteryear and far future

Matchbox started the "Models of Yesteryear" Range in 1956, a larger 1:43 Scale Range made for collectors. This range is heavily focussed on vehicles from 1910 - 1930. A perfect source for World War 1, Inter-War, World War 2 und Pulp Settings, either as terrain or actively used as car pool.

Easter, Short Holidays and Events

Easter is coming, and i have a short break from work for a couple of days. I started painting the Imperial Knight, as a Freeblade. I did a review on this kit, the Imperial Knight, and while painting it I am still bummed out about the Decal "fraud".

I kept most of the parts unglued, for easier painting. All parts were primed Black, and the armour parts were given a nice primer with Bolt Action German Fieldgrey, a very greenish grey. The metal parts got heavily drybrushed with metal from AP, but will get another go to really bring out the shiny color. As a contrast to the green, i choosed a bronze /brown-gold color for the armour trims. I'll keep working on this model in the next few days.
