Weekend Update … not with Seth Meyers
So here is the Weekend Update ... without Seth Meyers (you have to wait for Saturday Night for that one ... 😉 ). I did some painting. As you'll probably won't believe me and guess that i just have been basing some stuff, here are some pictures.
The German Marines are pretty close. I have to finish their faces, weapons and some details on the gear. But i like the camo and battle suit so far.
Match Day
So i am back from Spain. I spent some very sunny days and enjoyed the weather and distance from the daily routine. Crisis is coming closer and the Radaddel Wide Open Door Day (on which I'll be doing a seminar on the tabletop market and its further development). If you have the chance, visit both events on 2nd November in Antwerp and 9th in Rudolstadt.
Today is match day at the soccer championship, Germany vs Sweden. I used the chance to catch up on some painting and want to share the current status with you.
I based some Lead Adventure German Marines on flat Renedra Bases.
Birthday, Bitbox and Autumn Update
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who send congratulations to me last weekend. I got some nice presents, like the limited Steelsoul Keg Protector and a voucher for the local kart center. Woo-hoo! It has been almost a whole month since the last update, so let's see.
Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung Koblenz Pt I
This weekend was the "Long Night of Museums 2013" and i took the camera with me on my trip through the city.
Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung Koblenz Pt III
And the final part, a view along the higher floors of the WTS, where they stored the rifles, radio equipment and heavy military equipment.
Eldar, MDF and delicious food
A brief sign of life after this exhausting weekend. I build the new Eldar wraithguard earlier this week. The kit is quite nice with a lot of options, but the price is pretty ridiculous ... never the less, thanks a lot to Christian and Alexander from MiniWargames Wuppertal for the Box.
Impressions of KoMiCon 2013
The annual KoMiCon in Koblenz was a few weeks ago and i took a couple of pictures of the Field of Glory tournament.
Bolt Action
Yesterday I played another round of Bolt Action, this time with Christian / Fritz giving him an introduction to the game. And what can I say, we did not only have fun, I have won another player for Bolt Action.
Bolt Action could show what it's good at. It is fast, it is lean and offers a lot of entertainment. A good combination without being to simple. For the next time we know, we need more terrain.
There are no pictures of that game - for a reason. Why? Well first off all, a bunch of unpainted miniatures on a proxied table are a rather sad thing to look at, but i have plans.
What plans? Well, I am still missing a central piece for my gaming table, a gaming mat made from acryl. The pictures were taken from Frank Bauer, one of the big guys in german wargaming and a driving force behind the Tactica.
