Dino’s August 2022
The month in which the tabletop activities normally decrease due to the good weather has also left its mark on me - but for other reasons. My new job is quite demanding and involves a lot of travel, so I didn't get to sit down at the painting table very often.
Instead, I used my increased travel activity and worked on my goal for the year, namely to keep in touch with the community and play a few games. I had the opportunity to visit two clubs in the vicinity of my customer and spent several times with the Bedburgers.
Frostgrave: A Sword and Sorcery Adventure – Part 7
Somewhat surprisingly, I painted the thief for my Frostgrave warband last month. I can't say myself what drove me there, because usually it takes me quite a while to paint a mini in my style, especially since I'm not the fastest painter anyway.
But somehow I felt like it and the thief, I think I'll call him Garrett, just whizzed across my painting table. Probably the limited color palette has also contributed a lot to that, something that. I probably remember this for an upcoming Oathmark project.
Blood Bowl – BlitzBowl Ultimate Edition
Blood Bowl has a very special place on this blog. We've covered multiple teams on here, the Mordheim Marauders, Golden Vultures or Morks Maulers and Dino and I even had the chance to give the older versions of this game a try. So, when Games Workshop offered me the chance to cover the Ultimate Edition of Blitz Bowl in a review, I happily agreed.
The Ultimate Edition of Blitz Bowl released this year, updates initial the 2018s release (and later update with a second season in 2020) and basically the third season of the game. Blitz Bowl is meant to be an introduction game - self enclosed board game - to reach out to new players, therefore it is sold via stores like Barnes & Nobles or Thalia.
Prelude to Rhein Main Multiversum 2022
The Rhein-Main-Multiversum returns in September 2022 after a two year break.
Blood Bowl – Mordheim Marauders Part 6
Ladies and Gentlemen, let's get ready to fumble! The first team of the CBL is ready - the Mordheim Marauders are here!
I have prepared a full roster for the Chaos Team, with 16 players, covering 10 beastmen and 4 chaos warriors incl. mutations, as well as two Star Players, using the classic miniatures from the 1994s Chaos All Stars team, released for the 3rd edition of Blood Bowl.
July 2022 review
Welcome to August and let's take a look back on last month and the overall update in the bunker.
I treated myself with another Space Marine Action Figure, this time the Todd McFarlane Chaos Space Marine in the Artist Proof variant, to paint yourself. Along with some 3d printed bits, this should be a cool looking miniature once painted.
Blood Bowl – Mordheim Marauders Part 5
And now it is time for decals! I chose the white numbers from the Nurgle Rotters and grabbed my decal set from Vallejo to get started.
Dino’s July 2022
To say that July was hectic would be the understatement of the year. First of all, I lost my job, then within two weeks I found another, better one. In between, I tried to catch up on all the private stuff that was left behind during that time.
One could think now " That guy doesn't paint at all!". But against all expectations I even managed to paint more than in the previous months. The first mini has set a small milestone with its completion.
Blood Bowl – Mordheim Marauders Part 4
Getting closer to the completion of the first Chaosbunker Blood Bowl League (CBL) franchise, the Mordheim Marauders. And it was time for Groundskeeper Willie to do something about the turf.
Munchkin Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Chaos and Order
With a bit of delay I am happy to cover the new supplement for the Warhammer Age of Sigmar variant of Munchkin, Chaos and Order, which was released in June 2020 in English and June 2021 in German, adding the forces of Chaos (with the Khorne Bloodbound) and Kharadron Overlords as part of the Order faction to the game. The English version of the game is released by Steve Jackson Games with the localised version available through Pegasus Spiele.
Along the base game we've covered the first supplement Death and Destruction (with Flesheater Court and Ironjaws) on here as well. The latest supplement Guts and Gory (covering Undead and the Ogor Mawtribes) hasn't been localised yet, so will wait for the release of that.
As with the other supplements, this one covers 112 cards as well and is priced at a RRP of 19.99 USD, the German box supplied by Pegasus Spiele is a bit cheaper at 14.99 EUR.
