Frostgrave – Knights
One of the first boxes that came along with the second edition of Frostgrave was the new kit for Knights. But it covers a lot more than just knights, but let's take a closer look into this new plastic set.
Unlike the other troop kits, we have had so far, this just covers 10 models instead of 20, but the sprues and layout are similar to the latest male and female Wizards. You get two sprues of the new unit and a base sprue with 10 round bases with a 25mm diameter. The kit is 15 GBP instead of 20 GBP for the other plastic kits of 20 miniatures.
Mortal Gods – Hoplite Tutorial
The first of my Corinthian hoplites is painted and I am quite satisfied with the result. Since I might divide the Corinthians and the mercenaries of my army into two independent factions and would also like to have an army of Zeus, I deliberately based the color choice on the centaur.
This way I can use the hoplites later equally as Corinthians or Olympians. I also gave the hoplite two swords instead of a spear and shield. This falls more into the category of artistic freedom, but it breaks up a bit of a too-similar image of the models on the gaming table.
Dino’s March 2022
Didn't I mention last month that I had Corona and thought I was finally in the clear? Well, only a short time later, most likely aided by the Corona infection, it turns out that I had a mild case of pneumonia. Thank God I was able to put this chapter behind me as well and I am doing quite well again.
Accordingly, the time for painting has suffered a little this month, but fortunately, I was still able to achieve one or two milestones in my annual plan. First of all, I'm happy to announce that I played my first game of Rangers of Shadow Deep.
Tabletopwelt forum users Erkwin and Saranor invited me to a game night and played a game of Rangers of Shadow Deep with me. In the upcoming weeks I will write a narrative report about the two scenarios we played, which you will be able to read as usual on the Chaosbunker.
March 2022 review
And then that was Q1 of 2022. March has been incredibly busy, and I don't mean that in a non-wargaming way.
Yesterday was april fools and I took the time to prepare a bit, with our CHAOSBUNKER PREMIUM LOUNGE. I'm glad you enjoyed it and as I got quite some message for the T-Shirts, let me check, if we can put those into reality and maybe use the turnover to do something good, like we did with the charity for cancer in April 2021. I'll keep you posted on this.
Blood Bowl – Mordheim Marauders Part 3
Near completion! I'm very happy to announce this. I made significant progress on the Mordheim Marauders, after the last update mid-February. A second wash on the long fur on the beast men. And let that thoroughly dry.
After that, I added the second highlights to the miniatures, very close to what I did with my Chaos warband.
February 2022 review
Welcome to March and let's take a look back on February. We're going to keep it strictly wargames related.
I continuted my work on my Chaos Blood Bowl team, the Mordheim Marauders. I'm currently preparing part 3 and in the middle of step 3 (partially done the highlights from that phase and a clean up of the bases). Guess another week or so, and I should have them finished. Already eyeing on the project after that.
Blood Bowl – Mordheim Marauders Part 2
You read the introduction of the Mordheim Marauders in the first part, I had them primed and started painting, keeping close to my recipe for Beastmen from the Realm of Chaos Warband.

Blood Bowl – Mordheim Marauders Part 1
After the initial introduction of the roster and lineup of the Chaos Team, it is the time to get started.
January 2022 review
Oh boy, we've already made it past the first month. That went quickly and it feels like march is already in reach.
January was pretty dominated on Blood Bowl - and I love it.
Thanks to Radaddel for the quick delivery. I stocked up on supplies, only to have the first brush mess up after only 30 seconds. I basically only removed the tube, dipped it in the paint and - bam - the bristle is standing off.
Dino’s January 2022
It was a good January, marked by many new beginnings. Jobwise I have started a new employment and hobbywise I have painted and tinkered peacefully away.
These archers for Mortal Gods have been on the painting table for a while, but I was only able to finish them shortly before the end of the month, considering my duties. In a few days there will be a few more snapshots and a painting tutorial on them.
