A miniature Odyssey – Block 1? Done!

A month has passed and I am really happy that I managed to finish the first block for the Summer Project before the time ran out. Skeletons are a bit unspectacular themselves, so there is not much to tell about them despite the successful completion of this stage.

Realm of Chaos – Hooves and Fur Part IX

The bases are done, the shields glued to the ungor skirmishers - I can call block #2 for the summer project ready and done! Another 6 beastmen for the Hooves and Fur warband finished.

Realm of Chaos – Hooves and Fur Part VI

Block #1 for the summer project is ready and done! The first 6 beastmen of the Hooves and Fur warband are done.

I finished the shields in a very worn down look, gave the long fur / hair a final highlight with Army Painter Necrotic Flesh WP1108 and added flock to the bases, with Army Painter Battlefields Steppengrass.

Journey of the Maulers: Fans for fans

Since the beginning of the Journey of the Maulers series, which now consists of 23 articles, I have decided to paint fans for the team. After I had painted the Maulers completely, I wanted to be able to put one more fan on the bleachers for each game I played. As a small "thank you" to all who tested the Wanderleague approach with me.

INQ28 – The Mundalorian

I have built and painted this one in 2009, and decided it is time to new pictures. The bounty hunter "Boba" was created for the Inq28 project.

Gaslands – Roadblocks

To make my future Gaslands table more interesting, I have set out to create a few stylish terrain pieces in a Wasteland style. Originally I wanted to make the track boundaries more visible, as well as corners and obstacles.

Gaslands – New week, new wreck

My latest terrain piece, made from a recycled Nissan Titanium, is finished and I had so much fun with it that I decided to do another piece in the same style right away. This time I won't take a hotwheel apart though. In fact, a recently purchased monster truck was already accompanied by a wreck that has no other purpose than to drive over it.

As you can see I added a few small details to cover a some holes that are actually connectors for other wrecks. To the hole in the front I glued a few rods to make it look like a rudimentary radiator grill.

Gaslands – Final touch

We're in the next round in Gaslands - last week I showed you the first steps in painting the car and today we'll finish it as promised. The base colour for the chassis was Plague Brown. But before I started to set the accents I made sure I separated all parts by mixing Parasite Brown and Black. With this I traced all the ridges on the car. Parasite Brown was also the color I used for the shadows. I mixed Parasite Brown about 50/50 with Lahmian Medium to create a wash.

" I said YELLOW! This isn't yellow!" shouted the freelancer angrily.

The pretty repairwoman smiled gloatingly and said:

"Freelancer, you just don't listen - I told you I'll fix your car and the parts will be available in any colour as long as it's Rutherford Green."

Oldhammer Empire Banners

I used to have quite the collection of Warhammer Fantasy Empire miniatures. A total of around 22.000 points and therefore I was quite invested in that topic. I enjoyed input like the great WHFRP sourcebooks like Sigmar's Heirs or lore books, like Uniforms & Heraldry of the Empire or Blood on the Reik.

Frostgrave: A Sword and Sorcery Adventure – Part 3

My little Sword and Sorcery project is going into the next round with a bit more routine from today on. In the coming weeks updates will always happen on a Frosty Friday (if there are any).

In this article I would like to introduce the puppy of the bunch. In terms of game mechanics, the combat dog is an excellent gap-filler when you start with a warband, where you want to spend your entire budget at the beginning of your campaign, as he only costs a measly 10 gold.
