Trains, Terrain and Tons of Stuff
Just a quick heads up, what is going on currently. While i just finished the text, for the Imperial Knight Review (coming next monday), i want to show you some pictures of my latest additions.
I found this idea over at Stronghold Terrains Blog, Elmar did get his hand on some Fleischmann Magic Train. They fit perfect for 28mm / Bolt Action, as you can see. I got myself a nice little set of 6 at eBay for 20 bucks. They need a little paint, and then they are ready to go.
Winter is coming
Winter is coming. I finally completed the 35 Points of Khadorians. I really pushed myself to finish these miniatures ... and i had the deadline for the next Tabletop Insider 😉
Tank month
It took a few weeks but my order at Ainsty Castings arrived. I bought a couple of items, some monuments that will be perfect for almost every setting. A raft, that will a nice addendum for the German Marines i painted earlier, and for some Spec-Op Missions (Commandos etc.). The riverboat was a bargain, and is a nice piece of terrain and will be used for boarding and river settings. And the last part ... a tardis. Eventhough i am not a Dr. Who Fan (i think its just weird), but hey a tardis, ... why not?
Low Level Piracy
The tanks are organized? Check. So what next? Opening up some goodies that came in the post the last days.
What's first? Well Four A Miniatures delivered, i ordered Creature from the Black Lagoon and ALF. Casting looks good, everything went quick. /me happy.
2014 or Hetzers gonna hetz
Welcome to the new year and a rather bold start with some painted miniatures. Let's start with some terrain, i did first colors on the lovely Renedra Shed. It's amazing to see how good drybrushing works on these kits. That is just black primer with 3 different drybrushs (different colors for the roof and planks).
The Last of 2013
The last update in 2013. A last peak at the workbench. This won't be finished today, as we are preparing the evening programme. So what are we looking at in detail? A few Kickstarter Freebooter Miniatures are assembled, as you can see in the right picture. Further more there are the Anglo-Saxons for SAGA and a couple of kits for my Bolt Action motorpool.
Rowdd 2013, Pegasus Bridge and SAGA
Last Weekend I was in Thuringia, at Radaddels Wide Open Door Day. It was a fun weekend, again tabletop loaded. But this time not only as a customer / visitor. I held a seminar on the status quo of wargaming in Germany, and helped out Mantic and Warlord Games doing an Q&A. And i did some shopping, i stocked up on Freebooters Fate.
German Marines!
Buzy Sunday. After a couple of hours spended on office and house duty, i got back to my desk and did some progress on the open projects. I am currently preparing the Minairons Hispano Suiza for a review, and as you do with resin kits, i gave it a good wash. Beside that, i grabbed the brush once again and did some further painting.
Weekend Update … not with Seth Meyers
So here is the Weekend Update ... without Seth Meyers (you have to wait for Saturday Night for that one ... 😉 ). I did some painting. As you'll probably won't believe me and guess that i just have been basing some stuff, here are some pictures.
The German Marines are pretty close. I have to finish their faces, weapons and some details on the gear. But i like the camo and battle suit so far.
Match Day
So i am back from Spain. I spent some very sunny days and enjoyed the weather and distance from the daily routine. Crisis is coming closer and the Radaddel Wide Open Door Day (on which I'll be doing a seminar on the tabletop market and its further development). If you have the chance, visit both events on 2nd November in Antwerp and 9th in Rudolstadt.
Today is match day at the soccer championship, Germany vs Sweden. I used the chance to catch up on some painting and want to share the current status with you.
I based some Lead Adventure German Marines on flat Renedra Bases.
